The Western Australian Government has established “Invest and Trade Western Australia” to support the state’s economic diversification agenda. The Invest and Trade Western Australia (ITWA) promotes the States unique strengths and diverse industries and provides a one-stop-shop for incoming trade and investment enquires.  

ITWA is the state’s “front door” for investors and exporters, facilitating investment into Western Australia (WA) and assisting local industry to access new export markets.

Western Australia has a comparative advantage across emerging global trends with strong Environment Social Governance credentials, geographic proximity to economies experiencing exponential growth, demand for natural resources and a revolution in energy, robotics and automation.   

Western Australia’s unique way of life, reliability, innovation and expertise has built WA’s global reputation for delivering outstanding quality. Western Australia offers an attractive, unique and exciting investment proposition.

Western Australia at Expo 2020 Dubai 

Western Australia has been promoted to a global audience of investors, businesses and thought leaders at this year's World Expo.  Expo 2020 Dubai has been an important opportunity to showcase to the world Western Australia's unique strengths, specifically in the areas of international education, mining and METS, agriculture and energy.  

WA’s presence at  Expo 2020 Dubai has been supported by the Government's Dubai office, expanding on the State's engagement with new markets and its alignments with Diversify WA, the State’s economic development framework.  

The Western Australian Government delivered a “Western Australia – It’s Like No Other” showcase event at the Australian Pavilion on 1st March 2022, which focussed strongly on trade and investment.
