The future Decarbonization of Transportation in Smart Cities.

As part of Travel and Connectivity Week, the Australian Pavilion is partaking in several events by exploring how technology is being harnessed for the betterment of humankind across various sectors, whilst championing digital connectivity as a human right for all.

World Majlis: Off the Beaten Path: Travel in the 21st Century, panel discussion - Thought leaders, visionaries, and changemakers discuss how to slow the pace of mass-market tourism and make ecotourism the new norm.

This panel will focus on the future of decarbonization of transportation in smart cities as a means to ensure sustainable travel and connectivity.  Different aspects will be discussed including the challenges and opportunities for the adoption of battery-operated or fuel cell-powered vehicles; the logistics of vehicle charging or refuelling; the socio-economic challenges associated with a fleet transition; and the impact of energy supply chains on the real benefits associated with zero emission transport.
