The audience will be inspired by the journeys of two trailblazing women in sport, who will speak about their journeys and reflect on some key questions

11:00 Morning tea and networking 11:15 SESSION 2 CHAMPIONING WOMEN’S SPORTS EVENTS
Session objective: speakers share different perspectives on the value proposition and benefits of hosting and partnering with women’s sports events
2 x 30-minute case studies (each with a 20-minute presentation and 10 minutes for questions)
- International sports governing body: International Cricket Council (ICC) on positioning, promoting and building the value proposition around women’s tournaments
- NGO: ChildFund Australia’s Global Programs Director, Amy Lamoin, on their journey to become the charity partner of rugby union world cups (men’s Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan and women’s Rugby World Cup 2022 in New Zealand) and the benefits for NGOs of partnering with major events

14:00 SESSION 3 BENEFITTING WOMEN AND GIRLS THROUGH SPORT
Session objective: a showcase of how well-designed sport for development programs can benefit women and girls, featuring three Team Up-supported programs in the Pacific
3 x 15-minute presentations, plus 15 minutes for questions
- Vanuatu Cricket Association’s women-focused social impact programs presented by Melissa Fare on behalf of Vanuatu Cricket Association
- Oceania Rugby’s Get into Rugby PLUS program in Fiji presented by Lavenia Yalovi from Fiji Rugby Union
15:00 SESSION 4 WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP IN SPORT
Session objective: an exploration of initiatives from around the world that are generating and supporting women leaders in sport
2 x 30-minute case study conversations (10 minutes presentation, 10 minutes conversation and questions)
- Case study conversation – invest in women: leveraging sport for development for women’s leadership. How a sport for development program with a focus on women, based around a male-dominated sport, resulted in more women in leadership roles and helped create male champions in the sport and in broader society.
