Environmental sustainability for an ageing population

The Australia Pavilion is excited to attend this event for health and wellness week. Approximately 55% of the world’s population lives in urban areas and this is expected to increase to 70% by 2050.

This population growth will result in 2.5 billion more people in urban areas than at present. Furthermore, with increased life expectancy across the globe, our housing stock needs to be aligned with the needs of our ageing population. In developed countries, like Australia, one in 10 Australians over the age of 65 is living with dementia.

This panel of our internal experts will discuss on the problems we are facing as an ageing society as well as potential solutions.

Australian based Lyn Phillipson and Tim McCarthy will be joining this panel virtually and along with the panel of internal experts will discuss on the potential solution.
