Operations Manager

Must have experience in the development and implementation of venue or major event operational plans across staffing, crowd management, functions, OH&S and security.  Candidates should be financially astute with the ability to negotiate and manage commercial contracts.

Demonstrated experience in managing multi-discipline and high achieving teams, reporting to a complex management structure and the ability to work co-operatively with senior government stakeholders will be crucial to securing this great leadership position. 

Experience in the UAE, or an understanding of the Middle East region will be highly advantageous.

Deputy Operations Manager

A great opportunity for a qualified operations manager to ensure all elements of the Australian Pavilion operate effectively to the highest standards

The successful candidate will be results driven with venue or event management experience.  Candidates should have a hands-on approach with evidence of having worked under pressure whilst adopting a flexible and creative approach.  Experience in managing multiple stakeholders in a high-volume and high-profile public environment will be a distinct advantage.

Demonstrated experience in maintaining a flexible, co-operative and professional work environment, managing both FOH and BOH teams, with an understanding and well-communicated approach to OH&S standards, policies and procedures will be crucial for this position.

Experience in the UAE, or an understanding of the Middle East region will be highly advantageous.

Venue Manager

Qualified and experienced Venue Manager to oversee and manage daily operations of the Pavilion, ensuring all elements run smoothly and to the highest possible standard.

Event or venue management experience desirable with proven success managing multiple teams across a number of disciplines.  Must have proven capabilities in creating a positive customer service culture and have exceptional communication and people skills.  Experience in the UAE, or an understanding of the Middle East region will be highly advantageous.

Function Manager

Professional, experienced and passionate Functions Manager with exceptional customer service skills for VIP clientele.  Knowledge of quality Australian produce and wines will play a key role in securing this sought-after position.

Event Manager

Executive Chef

Once in a life-time opportunity for a fully qualified Executive Chef with exceptional knowledge and proven experience in creative menu design and delivery (including the application of cost, quality and delivery principles and tools). Will suit an experienced Executive Chef who specialises in fine dining or high-end functions with knowledge of Australian cuisine, produce and ingredients. The Australian Pavilion will serve only 100% Halal menus. Candidate with well developed cultural awareness and an understanding of Middle East cooking and dining preferences will be highly regarded. Proven capabilities in understanding all aspects of ordering, preparing and cooking to this standard is mandatory. The successful candidate will have demonstrated capability in responsibly managing kitchen costs (COGS & labour) as well as being able to positively respond to the needs of clients and customers. Retail Store Manager

The successful candidate will have retail management experience in a busy and competitive retail environment with the ability to effectively roster, manage and motivate a customer service team to deliver highly engaging and professional customer experiences all day, every day. Merchandising experience in an event environment is considered ideal. Proven capability to forecast and respond quickly to trends, manage stock responsibly, implement effective sales techniques, work cooperatively with suppliers and deliver accurate and on-time reports will be key to securing this role.
